Major milestone for DCS
Stratford-upon-Avon health & beauty company DCS Group has today broken through their sales target of £200 million.
DCS is the official sales and distribution company for P&G, Unilever, Colgate, SC Johnson, PZ Cussons and supplies over 400 customers in the U.K.
DCS also owns the Enliven brand and has a factory producing toiletries in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Founder Denys Shortt OBE set the target of £200 million eight years ago when the company reached £100m sales.
DCS Group has the unusual record of having increased sales every year for 22 years - since it established.
The company was ranked 134th this year in the Sunday Times Toptrack 250 - a list of Britain's leading private companies.
DCS has a strong community involvement and Denys Shortt OBE recently set up Supporting Stratford which pledges £110,000 per year to local charities, sports clubs and arts organisations.
Denys Shortt OBE said :
This was a personal target and not easy to reach in a tough retail climate that has seen many retailers and wholesalers decline or close down.
We have a new Board of Directors at DCS who continually refocus the business.
We thank our 300 employees for their hard work and loyal dedication, many of whom have been with us for over 15 years.
Our target for next year is £220 million so the 300 is already in our sights !
